Do you remember the story of the three little pigs?  If we build houses out of straw or sticks, they won’t stay standing when the big bad wolf comes our way.  But if we have a strong foundation, built out of bricks and mortar, then the big bad wolf doesn't stand a chance at blowing our house down!  

I heard this analogy somewhere along the way and I love to use it for good health (I even bought the book and read it to my 18 year old son).  The stronger our foundation the better we can handle the strong winds that come our way!  Making the choice to prioritize you, by focusing on things like good nutrition, sleep, movement, joy, managing stress, pleasure and fun are invaluable when it comes to strengthening our foundation.  It’s not always easy, but man is it powerful!

I sincerely believe that as women we tend to put everyone else first, until it becomes too much and it's no longer possible.  What if you flip the endless to do list and put yourself first for a change?  Does this make you uncomfortable-probably.  Difficult-maybe. An opportunity for profound change-ABSOLUTELY!
